The idCAT certificate
idCAT is a software certificate issued by the Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia (AOC) that allows you to sign documents and identify yourself as a citizen when conducting online transactions with various administrations.
Who can apply for idCAT
Any member of the university community may apply for this certificate.
How to apply for the idCAT
LThe idCAT application is made through the idCAT website, although it can also be done directly at a Registration Entity (RE).
After submitting your application, you will need to go to the ER that is most convenient for you to authenticate:
- The ER at the Registration Assistance Office in the Rector's Building at UAB. We recommend that you schedule an appointment at the following link: https://cita.uab.cat/rectorat/registre/index.php?lang=ca

Individuals without an appointment can visit our office on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

- Any of the ERs located in many city halls in Catalonia.
- If you have a DNI or a TIE, you can do it online via video call through the following link: https://idcat.aoc.cat/
It is very important that when you make the request, you use the first and last name that appear on your DNI or identification document.
Descàrrega i instal·lació del certificat
Podeu trobar informació per fer la descàrrega i la instal·lació del certificat idCAT al sistema operatiu Windows i Mac, així com al vostre telèfon mòbil (Android, Iphone i iPad) a l'adreça següent:

Us recomanem que feu una còpia del certificat per poder recuperar-lo en cas de pèrdua.
Si utilitzeu el certificat per signar documents (correus electrònics, documents PDF...) o per fer un tràmit en línia, cal que configureu el programari amb el qual fareu aquesta gestió.

El certificat idCAT és vàlid durant 4 anys. Un cop passat aquest període, deixa de ser utilitzable.

Pots gestionar un certificat de la Fábrica Nacional de la Moneda y Timbre (FNMT). Trobaràs tota la informació al seu web.
Si disposes de DNIe, tens l¿opció d¿activar el certificat electrònic que inclou anant a una comissaria de la policia nacional. Allà hi trobaràs un dispositiu que et permetrà dur a terme aquesta activació i no requereix cita prèvia.
Tots aquests certificats són vàlids per a la signatura de documents i identificació electrònica amb qualsevol administració de l¿estat.
