Elections for Dean and Director

This information and the regulations are in the process of being updated as from the date when the new UAB Statutes come into force (14 March 2025).

Given that the new UAB Statutes were approved by the Senate in June 2024 and entered into force on 14 March 2025 with their publication in the DOGC, the elections for Dean of Faculty, or School Director, are regulated, transitional basis (from the entry into force of the LOSU), by Title II of the Electoral Regulations (elections for Rector) and by Instruction 1/2025, of the secretary general, on the adaptation to the Statutes for the elections for Deans and School Directors.

Weighting of the vote by sector

The procedure applicable to the elections for Dean of Faculty and Director of School is that provided for in the Electoral Regulations of the UAB, which in short is as follows:

  • 6% non-permanent teaching and research staff, non-permanent research staff and adjunct teaching staff (sector B)
  • 27,7% Bachelor's and Master's degree students (sector C)
  • 14,8% technical, management and administrative and service staff (government and non-government employees) (sector D)

Declaration of Dean

First round

The General Electoral Board declares as Dean the candidate who has obtained an absolute majority of the weighted votes following the procedure determined in articles 29 to 32 of the Electoral Regulations.
