Trade union elections

The representative bodies of public officials and workers, technical, management, administrative and service staff (PTGAS) and teaching and research staff (PDI), are elected by the workers every four years through the corresponding electoral process.

The current and concordant regulations regulate the electoral process in which workers can participate as voters and as eligible candidates.

Trade union elections are regulated by Royal Decree 1846/1994, of 9 September, approving the Regulations on Elections to Bodies for the Representation of Staff in the Service of the General State Administration.

Staff representation bodies at the UAB:

The UAB trade union elections are managed by the People Management Area and driven by the social partners

The Fundació Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (FUAB) trade union elections are also held using the UAB's electronic voting system:

Trade union elections have been held via the electronic voting system since 2014.
